The Germovka Forge
The main purpose of the investment is to renovate the degraded or destroyed parts of the forge, allowing it to be developed in such a way as to present the blacksmith’s trade in a modern way. The following works will be carried out:
- the grinding workshop will be renovated according to the principles of conservation and restoration,
- the blacksmith’s hearth will be restored and made ready for use,
- a waterwheel will be made and put into operation.

The total value of the operation (net eligible costs + VAT):) €428,884.70, of which EAFRD co-finances 299.787,03 € (85 %)
Description of the operation:
By creating an innovative tourist product involving cultural heritage interpretation in the area covered by the eight municipalities that make up the Gorenjska košarica local action group, we will contribute to the preservation of the rich cultural heritage, knowledge and expertise in the field of traditional crafts and traditions, as well as contributing to the development of sustainable green jobs.
The area covered by the Gorenjska košarica local action group has a number of preserved crafts and traditions that enrich the everyday life of its inhabitants, but there is almost no transfer of knowledge to the younger generation. At the same time, the area has so far failed to develop commercially attractive cultural heritage interpretation products that contribute to the long-term preservation of the rich cultural heritage, ensure the transfer of knowledge to younger generations and create sustainable jobs in rural areas.
