A dog-friendly museum

A museum may be considered dog friendly when dogs can accompany their owners on a tour of all the exhibits, and an area is provided where they can wait for their owners and quench their thirst.

MUSEUM ETIQUETTE FOR DOG OWNERS

- Only dogs accompanied by an adult who pays the museum entrance fee may enter.

- Only well-trained, obedient dogs are welcome. (We trust your judgement.)

- The owner assumes all responsibility. Including for any damage caused.

- Dogs must be kept on a leash.

- Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on public tours or other activities attended by large numbers of people. The museum may also restrict entry to dogs in other exceptional circumstances and if other visitors to the museum request it.

- Dangerous dogs are not allowed in the museum. These include dogs that represent a danger because they are uncontrollable or show aggressive behaviour towards humans (Official Gazette ZZZiv-UPB3, Article 5).

- Service dogs may enter the museum at any time, regardless of exceptional circumstances.

BEFORE VISITING THE MUSEUM, WE RECOMMEND THAT:

- the dog is fed.

- the dog has had a good walk.

- that the dog has relieved itself.

- In the event that a dog accidentally relieves itself in the museum, the owner must clean up and inform the museum staff.
